Sarah and Edward Harris launched Harris Results SPRL in early 2010 to put skills gained during nearly a decade of journalism in Africa to better use: Helping pro-growth ventures succeed in developing countries.
As the two principals of the Belgium-based company, the husband-wife team has a wide and documented array of research, drafting and multimedia presentation skills that can help organizations succeed in developing-world scenarios.
Sarah, whose journalism has appeared in The New York Times, The Economist and Al-Jazeera English among other outlets, is a video expert who’s currently engaged with a Brussels-based European Commission project that produces information and training videos for members of the worldwide development community. Sarah has also worked with the United Nations in Africa.
Edward is a former long-time foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press, where he was most recently the head of news agency’s Nigeria bureau. His current activities include traveling back to Nigeria to work on a UK government-sponsored development program aimed at bettering the regulatory environment for Small and Medium-Sized enterprises in the country. He also offers consulting services for private companies seeking ways to better understand, and operate in, the business environments of various African countries.
